We are very pleased to see proposals to redevelop this long vacant site as a dwelling and we welcome the three storeys. We are concerned at the lack of detailed information on external materials beyond brick and slates. The bricks should be good quality and compatible with the context and with self supporting brick lintels; a brick arch over the front door would be a good distinguishing feature.  Windows and doors should be timber and the front door should be to a traditional pattern, not a pastiche.

We appreciate the desirability of the integral garage but are concerned about access to it and the potential hazard if it has an up and over mechanism. It should desirably be boarded in traditional pattern rather than panelled.
