Inkerman Row Playford Court**

Residential (modern building)

Playford Court was built by Babergh District Council in the 1980s to provide sheltered housing. It replaced the Victorian weavers' cottages of Inkerman Row. The architect was Chris Chestnut. His building used the white brick with red brick detailing which can be seen in many local Victorian buildings whilst creating something recognisably of its period.
