A late Victorian public house which retains much of its original appearance - externally in the windows, doors and fascia and internally the tables, bar fittings and general decoration. No fruit machines, television or other features brought in by pubs trying to widen their appeal. Owned by local brewer Mauldons and CAMRA recommended for its real ales.
