Melford Road 83

Residential

This two storey house is contemporary with the weaver's cottages on either side. A dye works foreman lived here in 1861 but by 1871 it was a baker's shop, remaining so until the 1920s. It was Amey's Wines when the original Local List was drawn up but is now a private house with a striking colour scheme.
