Although built 15 years after its neighbours at Nos and 2 this attractive cottage shares many features - the iron window railings and iron lintels above the original sash windows and door. However, here the name and date are moulded into the door lintel instead on a wall plaque. In 1900 Mrs Sarah King, lived here, the widow of a former police officer and offering "comfortable apartments for single gentlewomen'.
