William Hitchcock lived here next to his business premises at No10. It has been extensively modernised in recent years with the brickwork cleaned and all the old wooden sashes replaced. However, the original front door has been retained with its stained glass and knocker, although the old narrow letter box has gone - it must have been a nightmare for the postman!
