The Sudbury Society marked up two firsts at the January meeting: the first Saturday morning meeting and the first coffee morning. Held in the Hills Room of the newly refurbished Gainsborough House on a sunny but frosty morning we offered welcome hot drinks and assorted home baked treats while the members supplied the conversation. The room was full and there was no break in the laughter and chatter throughout the morning.
Trudi, from Gainsborough House, came to give a brief introduction to the new galleries and what is on offer via the various Friends of Gainsborough House memberships; though as it turned out most of those attending were already converts to those benefits!
All in all the experiment went well and the committee members present felt that it would be worth offering the coffee morning option a couple of times a year.
