Bank Buildings 2-7

Residential

Two rows of early Victorian cottages - of group value in the townscape but also of interest for past historical connections. No3 once the Baptist Manse and birthplace of Congo missionary, Holman Bentley. No 5, now a Dental Surgery, incorporates part of a much earlier timber-framed building whilst No 6 housed a Ladies School in 1879. Making and Cross, manufacturers of coconut matting, were at No 7 in 1908
