Sudbury had a surprising number of local dairies in the late 19th/early 20thC. The cattle were brought in twice a day for milking from the fields around the town. Sharp's dairy was located here in Weavers Lane and was still in business in the 1950s. The buildings around the yard contained the dairy and milking parlour. The porch and the gates onto the the road were added in the 1990s by a later Dutch owner of the property.
