Isaac Clover's late 19thC granary stands opposite his imposing four storey roller mill, now part of the Mill Hotel. Grain was delivered and stored in a tall silo attached to the Granary and then fed down through a high level pipe across the road and into the mill. The bricked up opening on the third floor was probably the site of the lucam - a projecting box-like structure through which sacks of grain were hoisted up from waggons below. The building has been altered considerably over the years but remains as a link with Sudbury's past. Now used for offices and accommodation.
