Rose Villa stands on land once known as Pigtail Piece; perhaps that explains the fertility of the soil here! It was built forJoseph Barwick, a solicitor's clerk, in1878. The house has kept its original windows and is in immaculate decorative order. The two storey bay is an attractive feature with the brickwork chamfered on each side of the sash windows. Both the wooden porch and front door are also original features.
