Villas Firenze and Giacommeti date from 1880 and show a degree of Italian Classical influence in their styling, particularly the crocketed capitals on the pilasters at the corners, around the windows and on the doorway arch. This Bath stone detailing is still very crisp They may well have been built by Grimwood and Sons. Their architect, Arthur Grimwood, made a number of trips to the Continent, including Italy. No 39 is in near original condition; No 41 has modern thick sectioned UPVC windows.
