A small Edwardian house in the English Vernacular style slotted into a narrow plot below the steep bank of the footpath up to the Newton Road. The modern side extension, presumably to create a hall, is reasonably unobtrusive and the house adds to the variety of the local townscape as does its neighbour at 55.
