A well proportioned row of Victorian shops of c1880 The detailing on the first floors is restrained - just a line of moulded brick brackets supporting the eaves and a moulded brick string course with cable and nailhead decoration copied from Norman architecture. The panelled pilasters give rhythm and unity to the three shopfronts, helping to counteract their contrasting paintwork.
