The weavers' cottages in Sudbury dating from the mid 19thC are built in brick. This pair are much older, certainly pre 1825, and have a timber framework, including a single massive beam supporting the first floor where the looms were set up. No 31 on the right still has the characteristic 'straight through' weaving floor with large windows at each end.
