A finely detailed late Victorian shopfront sits within the ground floor bay. Angelo Smith was running his watch and clockmaking business here in 1881 with his father Henry Smith, boot and shoemaker, also living on the premises. Angelo later moved his family business to 4 North Street where it still flourishes today.
