This was built c1860 as a warehouse serving William Hitchcock's coal and timber business. The red pantiles and the curved brick corner with corbelling above create visual interest and, although the ground floor windows are modern replacements, they are multipaned and properly recessed the width of a brick - thus helping to maintain the visual integrity of the building.
