The terrace was erected by the builder Edwin Green and are referred to in his will of 1883. All three properties were originally built as private dwellings but Nos 57 and 58 now have intrusive 20thC shop fronts. No 59 remains a private house and has been sensitive restored in recent years. Note the original front door with heavy wooden mouldings and fittings.
