Oak Lodge and Bank Buildings were designed as one unit and once looked out over meadowland before the arrival of the railway. They were built by Thomas Ginn c1835 with the rather narrow sash windows and deep eaves characteristic of the period. The doorcase of the Lodge has a simple dignity,
